We are the Cornhusker Chapter of  Parents, Families and Friends of  Lesbians and Gays in Lincoln, Nebraska.

We, the parents, families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, celebrate diversity and envision a society that embraces everyone, including those of diverse sexual orientations, and gender identities. Only with respect, dignity and equality for all will we reach our full potential as human beings, individually and collectively. PFLAG welcomes the participation and support of all who share in, and hope to realize this vision.

7 - 8pm From the repeal of "Don't Ask Don't Tell" to the passage of equal marriage in New York, 2011 was an evenful year. Now, repeal of the ani-gay "Defense of Marriage Act" is before Congress, Omaha has introduced a nondiscriminaion ordinance, and there's ferment in Lincoln to do the same. Come find out what's happening in LGBT rights and how you can help at January’s PFLAG meeing.

About Our Meetings      

4th Tuesday Unitarian Church of Lincoln  6300 A St 

Our meetings provide  a safe, confidential space to share concerns, to get information and to get support.  Our meetings are attended by  parents, family, and friends of gays, lesbians, bisexual, and transgender persons, as well as  gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people themselves.  Our meetings are free and we welcome everyone.  
The PFLAG Cornhusker Board of Directors is responsible for PFLAG Meetings.  Each regular meeting has a topic and usually a guest speaker or panel.  Check our Calendar  for meeting dates, topics and speakers.    

Our Newsletter      

PFLAG Cornhusker  publishes a newsletter - the Spectrum every month (except December)   Our newsletter includes current local, national, and international news of interest to our readership.  The Spectrum also icludes information about local GLBT resources and events.  In addtion to news and information, the Spectrum includes advertisements from GLBT-friendly businesses and organizations.

OutSpeaking

Each year PFLAG recieves request from professional & communiy organizations, educational institutions, churches, and community groups for speakers and panels.   OutSpeaking is a collaborative speakers bureau, in which PFLAG-Cornhusker partners with UNL's LGBTQA Speakers Bureau, Citizens for Equal Protection and OUTLinc,  provide LGBTQA panels and educational programs for the Lincoln and surrounding community.
